Divergent Thinking

To me, this video went into great detail about how education has changed over the years, how our kids have adapted to learning, how kids feel about getting an education, and how kids need to be prepared for the outside world. I do agree with the fact that we do need to raise the standards of education in order to prepare ourselves for the outside world because as of now, I feel like we just hit a little bit of the basics that we need to learn about in order to do certain things. The classes we have today only teach us the basics that we need to be aware of, and they really don't go into a lot of detail, but some classes go into greater detail than others. I was really surprised to hear the things about ADHD because as the video stated, we are in the worst time period of ADHD in the history of the world. However, I can agree with this because these days, we have electronic devices to distract our learning such as phones and computers. Xbox also plays a big role in our distractions because now, a lot of kids think that Xbox is more important than being successful in school and getting the education that we need in order to be ready for what is to come in the future. Overall, this video did a great job in describing what it means to be ready for the outside world, and it means that we as students need to start thinking and using creativity more in order to make an impact on ourselves, others around us, and an even bigger impact on the world. We students need to start exploring what we can actually do in order to be ready for the future ahead.

  1. I agree with you about adaptation. I definitely feel like this is the right term because not a lot changes in the production line but we adapt to survive whether that means "deadening" ourselves or excelling in one way of viewing the mind.
