Don't copy and paste

The article talks about a few different explanations as to why cheating is more prominent in today's society. One of the reasons is our easy internet access. Especially with everyone having a computer and smartphone, the internet cheating is a bad problem. The article also talked about having lower standards and not pressing rules and regulations surrounding cheating. In the article is said that parents are a major factor in this too. The parents want their kids to do good in school no matter how they do it. In our school I think that cheating is a problem, but just like bullying it doesn't get talked about much. The school expects all students to have high education standards, but they don't talk about the expectations much. I honestly don't think that every student at least has an idea of what cheating and especially plagiarizing are. I think that cheating should have a lower tolerance. Students need to recognize its happening and take cheating seriously.

  1. There aren't a lot of rules for cheating anymore except not to plagiarize, and that is pretty broad and foggy itself.

  2. I agree that parents don't do enough to punish their kids for cheating, but in fact, help them to do so. I know some kids where their parents do the homework for them, but don't believe it is cheating. It's unfortunate that our generation is experiencing this.

  3. I feel like a lot of parents are more concerned with a letter grade or completion than the actual purpose of school, which is learning.
