Jake's Life

Jake's project has really been an eye opener. This would really be a good project just to separate and restore relationships with your close friends. Without constant contact with another person, pressure can be eliminated. I am personally thinking of disconnecting facebook. It would be a really good idea for your professional life as you hide your actual self from possible future employers, but also your personal life as you relieve the stress of always being connected. When people leave your life through this process, the stress of their presence also leaves. Likewise you can find out who truly matters to you, and enjoy their presence like never before.

  1. Speaking from someone who did get rid of Facebook for over a year, I found the lack of constant, fake interaction refreshing. I didn't find myself missing out on anything; rather I felt more engaged because the relationships I built required more than just "liking" someone's status. Let me know what you decide to do.
